THIEVES stole a Ford car worth £9,500 after breaking into a house in Lancaster and taking the keys.
The car, registered PJ08 KWK, was taken from outside a house in Prospect Street overnight on Monday.

Also taken in the break-in was £150 cash, a set of house keys and bank documents.


A HOLDALL containing Highways Agency property was stolen from a car parked in Tesco car park at Carnforth on Monday afternoon.

The blue bag, marked with a Highways Agency motif, contained a traffic officer's notebook, a pair of leather gloves, a hard hat and a Maglite torch, valued at £58.

It was taken from a Rover car bbetween 2.30pm and 2.45pm.


A KENWOOD CD player worth £70 was stolen from a Vauxhall Corsa parked in Lucy Street, Lancaster, overnight on Saturday.


JEWELLERY valued at £1,550 was stolen from a house in At Andrew's Grove, Morecambe, on Monday afternoon after burglars gained entry through an insecure rear window.


TWENTY metres of copper cable and some brass fittings, worth £400 in total, were stolen from Lancaster Auto Salvage on Lune Industrial Estate over the weekend.
