Lancaster University to host virtual exchange event tackling climate change and economy
The Lancaster Exchange, a virtual and interactive event organised by Lancaster University will take place on Thursday, May 13 (from 2pm to 4pm) and all members of the community are invited to take part.
The exchange, the second of its kind, takes on the theme of ‘Stronger Together’ this year and will encourage local people and organisations to identify how the university can work with its communities to build stronger, more inclusive, prosperous and sustainable partnerships which create positive change across the region.

Hide AdPro-Chancellor and chair of the university’s governing body, the Rt Hon Alistair Burt, will welcome everyone.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Andy Schofield will then provide an update – an insightful glimpse into the university and its plans for the future.
This will be followed by an opportunity to ask plenty of questions and, after a short break, take part in one of three breakout discussion groups including:
*Partnerships for our place - Exploring how collaborative partnerships across the region can strengthen our communities

Hide Ad*Partnerships for growth - Discussing how we can work together to create inclusive economic development and growth
*Partnerships for sustainable futures - Examining ways in which we can collaborate on environmental sustainability
Prof Schofield said: “We had to cancel the 2020 event because of the pandemic so we really are delighted to be able to host the Lancaster Exchange 2021 – albeit virtually.
“Part of Lancaster University’s role as a civic leader is to engage actively with our communities and contribute to the growth and development of our place.
