HAVE you got what it takes to be a star of the stage? Do you fancy your chances performing alongside stars of TV and the pop charts?
Lancaster's Grand Theatre is giving you the chance to do just that.

The Extra Factor, their new show coming in September, promises to be altogether more talent filled and exciting than your average reality TV programme.

In our modern world where fame can be achieved through simply being who you are instead of what you do, reality TV shows have become the ultimate short-cut for people who have their life set on becoming famous for…well, whatever people in reality TV shows become famous for.

The Extra Factor is a whole new experience. Every candidate in this show has an exceptional talent in pop music and is fighting for the audience's approval to have their 15 minutes of fame.

Along with a famed panel of judges, the show has a celebrity cast including names such as Antony Costa from Blue, Kelle Bryan from Eternal , Jennifer Biddall from Hollyoaks, Kevin Kenedy from Coronation Street, Russ Spencer of Scooch fame, Suzanne Carley and Anthony Kavanagh.

But what about you? Do you think you have what it takes to compete against the most talented voices in theatre?

If so, the Grand is presenting you with an unmissable opportunity.

Theatre Productions Ltd are giving you the chance to be in the show.
Singing hopefuls from the Lancaster district are being asked to make a short video of themselves performing one of a list of songs at www.extra-factor.com (go to the top auditions section).

Once you have got your song perfect and are ready to be judged, you can upload the video onto the audition website and register your details.
Once you are registered you can then also vote and rate other videos that have been uploaded by other hopefuls.

If you get voted as one of the best singers, you will then be invited to audition in front of a panel of judges.

The performers the judges think have what it takes, will then go on to perform in the real show.

And the voting doesn't stop there – Once in the show, the audience will be given the chance to vote who should win overall and who has the Extra Factor.

This is an opportunity any determined singer would be mad to miss, and it could be your chance to get noticed as the new voice of the theatre.
So get singing and post your video onto the website.

Entrants must be 18 and over.

The Extra Factor will run from September 8-10 at 8pm, with a matinee performance at 2.30pm on September 10.

Tickets, priced £17 (£16 concessions) are available from the box office on 01524 64695.
