THE summer lull is upon us and gigs are a bit thin on the ground once again.
Still, Tutti Frutti the 1950s Seaside Festival is taking place in Morecambe this weekend and should keep nostalgic music lovers entertained.

Tickets for the evening shows are only £15 each or £25 for a weekend pass (Friday and Saturday night) and
are on sale at the Tourist Information Centre, and Poulton Neighbourhood Management Office, 53 Euston Road. Call 01524 582803 for more info.

For those who don't share the same enthusiasm for the 1950s, there are a handful of other live shows taking place back in Lancaster.
The Convulsions will be playing at the Stonewell on Friday with Sold to The Sky playing the same venue on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Yorkshire House hosts Shades and Glowsticks on Friday night with Article 48, Idol Minds, Car Crash Hero, and A Day In The Life.

The Duo play at the Golden Lion on Saturday, while Woodrock perform at the John O' Gaunt on Sunday.

Fast forward to Thursday, the Fuzzy Trees play up at the Britannia, while bluesman Keith Davis brings the week to a close at the Robert Gillow.

Hailing from the Mississippi Delta by way of Bristol this well-regarded vocalist and guitarist plays a mixture of straight blues, ragtime/hokum styles on slide and Dobro guitar.
