BREAKING: Search for driver after drugs found following M6 police chase
The incident took place about 12am on Friday, when an Audi A6 was spotted by police being driven at more than 100mph on the northbound carriageway of the M6.
The car made off from officers when it was requested to stop on the M6, close to Forton.

Hide AdA pursuit followed, and the Audi left the motorway at J33, Galgate.
About 30 minutes later, the car was discovered overturned in a field, with no occupants inside.
With the car, police found a “substantial quantity” of what they believe to be Class A drugs.
A force spokesman said inquiries were ongoing to find the driver of the car.
Highways England said the entry and exit slip roads were closed while the incident was ongoing, and were reopened later on Friday morning.
