Jonathan Roe, 21, formerly of Westminster Road, Morecambe, now of Holt Road, Birmingham, previously pleaded guilty to four child sex offences when he appeared at Preston Crown Court on June 30.

He admitted to sexual communication with a child, attempting or causing a child to watch a sexual act, attempting to initiate a girl under 16 to engage in sexual activity and attempting to engage in sexual contact with a child.

Roe appeared for sentence at Preston Crown Court on August 24.

Judge Preston sentenced him to three years in prison and he was given a sexual harm prevention order to run indefinitely.

He will be on the sex offender register for life.

He was ordered to pay £190 court costs.
