Diners at a McDonald’s in Lancashire watched in disbelief as a lorry carrying meat tipped over on to the grass verge adjacent to the fast food restaurant.

The HGV tipped over on the roundabout on the A59 that leads to the restaurant at around 4-45 pm yesterday (Thursday) falling on to a grass verge near McDonald’s.

A spokesman for Clitheroe Police said the road was closed until 12-30 am while an operation was carried out to re-right the vehicle which spilled its load of meat in the process.

No one was hurt in the incident.
